About Me

Heyo,

my name is Miles I'm 21 years old and I live in Cologne Ehrenfeld, Germany. In 2018/19 I had the chance to travel the continent of Southamerica and was very glad to be able to sleep on various couches throughout my journey. Finally I have my own appartment so therefore I can offer you my couch in return. Allthough my appartment is rather small (32 sqm) and I only have a tiny pantry kitchen I'ld be happy to host and help you out.

As a cologne native I know my way around this lovely town so hmu if you need any info on what to do. Right now I am doing an apprenticeship as a joiner/carpinter and really enjoy my work. In my spare time I like to mix Music (mainly House and Techno) enjoy playing football or tabletennis or just hang out with my friends. And I am a massive fan of riding my singlespeed bycicle through the narrow roads of Cologne. Because f my workschedule I am quite busy during the week but on the weekend I am definetly willing to spend time with you.

Oye,

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I used Couchsurfing while I was traveling through Southamerica and I want to share my experience with other Couchsurfers. I made great experiences with the hosts i stayed with therefore I would like to give it back in return. Becaus my appartment is rather small I am only willing to let you stay at my place for 2 nights.

Interests

Football is my main passion. This is probally the reason why I want to explore this fascinating and huge continent and its stunning football culture and atmospheric stadiums. Therefore I would love to meet new people who share the same hobby with me. My father characterized my taste of music which explains why I listen to old stuff such as Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Jimi Hendrix, Frank Zappa, The Doors, Pink Floyd, Johnny Cash and many more. And yes he named me after Miles Davis. Otherwise I‘m into politics and philosophy. Besides Football i spent a lot of time working on my bicycles and riding them.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: As I mainly mix techno and House I obviously listen to theses genres most of the time. Some artists I really enjoy are Sascha Funke, Township Rebellion, David August, Extrawelt, Fjaak, Jesper Ryom, Kerala Dust, Marek Hemman, Tim Engelhardt, Robert Babicz, Harrison BDP, DJOKO, Traumer, Marc Brauner, Pig&Dan only to name a few :D.
Oherwise I enjoy Hip/Hop, Rock, Indie, Latinamerican Music (Cubia!!), African Music (Afrobeat but not that shitty Pop Music). So there'll probably be some Music we should be able to enjoy.

Movies: basically any Stanley Kubrick and Christopher Nolan film, Snatch, Memento, Pulp Fiction. There are so many good movies of which I can't think of right now haha.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The Interrail tour through Europe last summer with two of my best mates. Met so many nice people and nice spots. Especially Slovenia and Portugal. My voluntary service last year in an alevite community. Got to know so many fascinating peoples and their traditions and fiestas.

And of course my trip to South America. So many cool people, so many great places, especially Colombia. I was amazed by the friendliness of the people. They were genuinely the kindest I have met on my journey.

Argentina, Austria, Belgium, Benin, Bolivia, Chile, Croatia, England, France, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Peru, Portugal, Slovenia, Switzerland, Togo, Turkey, United States
