About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Visit every country in Europe, and learn the languages...
ABOUT ME
After travelling Europe in the summer of 2009, I settled in to St. Petersburg to study Russian for a year, presumably before returning to my normal life in Canada. This did not happen as I fell in love with the city. I returned to Ottawa for a year and was mostly miserable, so in August 2011, I took the plunge and moved back to Russia. I will be working as an English teacher here.
PHILOSOPHY
My personal philosophy...wow. Be nice to other people, and hope they have that same philosophy. Try to leave a good impression with everything I do.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I just joined, but I love the idea of meeting people from all over the world. Or even just those from within Canada. Sharing what I know about the city, and just sharing knowledge in general.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Generally rock, alternative, punk. I like most genres except for country and jazz/blues. Favourite bands right now: Rise Against, Billy Talent, the Offspring, Korpiklaani, Trans-Siberian Orchestra.
Books: Love Stephen King and Dean Koontz. Michael Palmer and Robin Cook also hold a special place in my heart (or something like that).
Movies: I see way too many movies, some good, some not so good.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I thought the Bay of Fundy was awesome. And chucking a jellyfish at my brother on Prince Edward Island was also pretty cool.
Ireland was amazing. I managed to get lost coming back from the Cliffs of Moher and spent 7 hours walking through the countryside to find my hostel. It was gorgeous though (and windy and rainy).
I love mountains. I got to stand on a glacier in Switzerland and hiked in the Pyrenees.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: Turn you into a goalie. Possibly teach you some english, french or some russian. Show you around my city, teach you how not to use public transit in St. Pete.
Share: Thoughts, experiences, my local paths and hideouts.
Learn: Whatever you have to share or teach me. Languages especially.
