About Me

CURRENT MISSION

When you're chewing on life's gristle, don't grumble, give a whistle. And this'll help things turn out for the best... And... Always look on the bright side of life...

ABOUT ME

Where do I start? I am an old film fanatic- I am in awe of Sergio Leone and Stanley Kubrick. I love animals, geography, history, currnt affairs and travelling. Ask me what you want I will tell you- my life is so complex I don't know what to write in a section like this.

PHILOSOPHY

I like to enjoy myself (very restrained by some peoples ideas and standards of 'enjoying themselves') and hope to be open minded and good person. I tend to drift through life and something or someone always turns up and i end up in a whole new direction. It is a big world we live in and I want to see and experience as much as I can before I die.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couchsurfed while cycling accross America last year and my wife and I couchsurfed while travelling from Beijing to Moscow by train. I look forward to hosting someone, someday.

Interests

There are few things I am not interested in- I am like a small child whose brain absorbs all kinds of things for nourishment and entertainment.

  • animals
  • pets
  • dogs
  • chickens
  • education
  • traveling
  • cycling
  • tennis
  • teaching
  • geography
  • history

Music, Movies, and Books

All kinds of music and books- very open minded. A BIG movie fan of all genre's and ages. I could talk all day about movies and have seen a vast range of films.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Played tennis against Gambia's No:1 player. I struggled to return the ball he was so powerful and fast. He worked in the hotel I stayed at in Gambia and took me to see a tennis academy he started for young children- but due to the poverty they lived in they played using their hands to hit the balls.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have not had the greatest education but have had a varied and colorful life. I have been to so cool places and had a range of jobs in my short life. I have a variety of animals (including 3 dogs which i miss so so much) and once had the British champion goat. I have a growing list of stories and tales of bad and good luck from this trip so far. Until recently I grew my own vegetables and kept chickens, ducks and geese as pets.
