My current mission is to feel as if I'm the citizen of the world even though I'm temporarily (and tragically) stuck in one place

ABOUT ME

I am someone who enjoys meeting people from everywhere. I've travelled a bit in central Europe, and more recently in Thailand and I've really enjoyed the culture clash in each country and the confusing and absurd situations people get into. I also love meeting amazing people who have relaxed life philosophies... and travellers are exactly that.

I am always hoping to travel and I am always planning another trip. However, I'm almost always perpetually broke, not sure why... :D At the moment, I am not travelling anywhere for another year.

I am a fantastic vegan cook, and you can always catch an interesting play, movie or concert with me, since I enjoy going out to events. Sitting in bars is also a favourite activity of mine, although I don't do it nearly as much as many of my fellow Finns..I try my best though :D I try not to be stuck in my routines and keep my mind active, and not let things become stagnant.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I live in Helsinki, in a two-room apartment about 4km from the centre and only a walking distance from nice bohemian bars. There is lots of space for guests and couch surfers, I can't promise a bed, but I can offer a mattress and a cozy atmosphere :)

Most recently I enjoyed a Czech surrealist feminist film called Daisies, which was superb. I am reading Kazuo Ishiguro at the moment, I love his subtle storytelling.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I went to Thailand last winter to do volunteer work and carried big trunks of trees down a hill from a rain forest. I swung from a real liana while listening to the wind in the trees. I learned to roll Thai cigarettes which were really damn strong but I got compliments everywhere from being a western girl smoking like a Thai :D Which was kind of awesome.
