Why I’m on Couchsurfing
couchsurfers basically saved my life several times because i suck at organizing. when i moved to tuebingen from vienna, some really nice girls spontaneously offered me their couch and gave me some insight into the student life in tuebingen. they helped me have a perfect start to my new life in tuebingen and i am really glad for that.
in the summer of 2013, my canadian friend lisa and i finally fulfilled our lifelong dream and spent 3 weeks in japan! we stayed with an amazing couchsurfer in tokyo, who showed us around town, went to the ghibli museum with us and made us japanese dessert. in kyoto, we met a lovely girl who spent three days with us. we immediately bonded and we're still in contact! this journey to japan was beyond doubt one of the best experiences in my life and couchsurfing definitely made a significant contribution to that!
all in all i am really glad i found this website.
i constantly want to broaden my horizons regarding healthy living, animal rights, social issues, the fine arts and foreign languages.
if this sounds too pretentious i'd like to tell you that i'm still waiting for my acceptance letter to hogwarts and that i'm never going to grow out of pokemon

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
my aforementioned trip to japan! it's hard to put into words what we / i felt upon fulfilling this dream we've had ever since we became friends. i spent a year in vancouver when i was in high school and it's safe to say that this year abroad had a huge impact on me. not only because i met lifelong friends there but also because it helped me overcome my shyness and thus helped me grow as a person. i'd definitely recommend everyone to spend some time abroad!
