i love couchsurfing because staying with locals is super fun and makes traveling and experiencing new places much more interesting. it also made me grow as a person a lot bc i used to be a socially awkward and shy person and now i'm only socially awkward. nice!
CS basically saved my life several times because i suck at organizing. one time i bought a plane ticket to japan for the next day because #neverstopexploring #travelblogger etc and i always make good and well-wrought decisions. but i somehow survived thanks to some awesome hosts and other great people! i definitely had the time of my life and met many cool people through couchsurfing (even though my reference number doesn't make it seem that way lol, i just kinda forgot to keep it updated).
i'll forever be thankful for that!

movies: studio ghibli (hayao miyazaki)!!!, wes anderson movies, the before sunrise trilogy, pride & prejudice (because mr darcy), whatever works (woody allen)

music: muse (fangirl for 9 years), radiohead, nujabes, joe hisaishi, justice, classical music (mostly beethoven, liszt, chopin, shostakovitch, rachmaninoff and the like; i know that doesn't *really* make me a classical music enthusiast), nu jazz and 90ies songs because i love trash music omg it's the best

books: the elegance of the hedgehog, erich fromm, michael ende (the never ending story and momo!!), harry potter, etty hillesum
i also have a love-hate relationship with haruki murakami
