About Me

I am from a beautiful and wild mediterranean island who gifted me with my unconditional love of nature. I have three nationalities but I don't necesarily identify with any of them. I have no career, instead a list of past jobs which definitely don't match together, the result of my almost constant moving around the world. I like to work with my hands, I like to work outdoors and I like to feel like I'm making a difference. For me traveling is not a hobby, it's a way of life. You don't have to go far to travel, I love discovering new places and meeting new people even in my own town! I believe that we should never stop learning and never stop being curious, about the world, about each-other, about how things work, about where things came from, about why people do things...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

How could I not be here? Couchsurfing represents everything that I love about traveling. It is a community of people from all over the world who come topgether to help each-other. By opening your home to strangers you open both your heart and your mind. We are the modern day nomads and pilgrims who rely on each-other for shelter, information and acceptance. I have been helped by so many amazing people and I hope that I was able to do the same for them!

Interests

I am interested in so many things... Everything related to nature (outdoor sports, foraging, wildlife), problem solving in real life situations (like finding a place to sleep when you find yourself on the side of the road in a foreign country at nightfall), fixing things that are broken (both the figuring it out part and the environmentally friendly result) and building/creating things with my own hands.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Australia holds some of my craziest stories... working as a deckhand on a traditional Tall Ship, working with cowboys in the middle of the outback near a crocodile-infested river, scuba diving at the great barrier reef and attempting to walk the Bibbulmun Track.

I have also hitchhiked all over Europe with a tent in my backpack and no fixed plan. Sometimes going as far as Finland-Spain in one trip

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach how to make an owl call with your hands. I can teach my languages if you're curious. I can share many stories from my travels. I can write you a "how to" guide on hitchhiking or budget travel. And if you are hosting me, know that I love to help out any way I can, so please take advantage and tell me, it will make me feel useful and happy.

I am curious about everything and my interests are very varied, so anything you would like to share, teach, discuss... I'm interested! More specifically, I want to learn more about photography, identifying edible/medicinal plants and working with wood. I love to discover weird places most people don't know, learn about what is important to people, and of course, try new foods.
