Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have a friend who is a host and have met some interesting people and thought it would be a great way to travel and connect with local people. I realise that some people may use this site as free accommodation. This is not my intention. I would rather not waste money on hotels, which are often impersonal and prefer to spend time with people who can give me a sense of the place I am visiting.

Interests

I am very interested in the history of the place I visit and historic architecture. As a teenager I had a 3 month stay in UK and parts of Europe with my parents travelling a in campervan and am now keen to revisit some of the places and more, that I saw back then.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am a Coldplay diehard. Went to Rolling Stones concert in 2014 and was so close that I could see their wrinkles. Recently introduced to Citizen Cope, open to most genres. I love movies as ridiculous as "White Chicks", romantic as "The Notebook" and can't for the life of me remember what else! Will update.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was 18 years old, I went to live in the bush with my boyfriend in a banana packing shed, no water, electricity, toilet, only 3 walls.
And I know it said one thing but watching my grandson being born recently!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am happy to help with any little jobs that needs to be done around the house or in the garden in return for the stay if it's going to be for a while. Otherwise, I have a small footprint and I'm respectful, easygoing and tidy.
