Ello ello i am Mimi,

coming in hobbit size, i am usually a very happy-go-lucky person, although a bit shy of people, but very fond of things that grow (plants and animals that is, to carify ;) ). You will find that i have a big compassion for all sorts of plants and all kinds of animals as i love sharing knowledge about those beautiful and silent things that surround us.
I like to begin the day with a good long breakfast (i don’t mind second ones as long as there is some warm beverage to enjoy), ideally with a good long conversation. Usually i am all in for deep talk, listening to people with different sets of experiences and stories (even if it is about painful ones) as i consider myself very open-minded, curious and empathetic.
Traveling is one of my biggest passion and i deeply enjoy strolling around in nature and foreign cities, exploring them by foot or, if possible, on charming old scooters.

Current mission:
Finally finishing my studies and going off to another adventure, all the while trying out some archery.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would love to share a place for travellers from all around the world, but limited by my current living situation, i try to meet up different kinds of people instead, showing them around and enjoying a good time with them.
Getting to know a country by traveling or meeting up with locals, instead of going around in a typical touristic manner, is much more valuable for me as you come to view the place from the eyes of someone who lives there.

Interests

I grew up drawing a lot and it definitely became my first love in life. Besides I love acting and scuba diving as both of these things connect you to people and nature in a way nothing ever will.
I am very fond of farming, keeping plants and animals at home and furthermore love to get to know people from different cultures and learning new languages and skills.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love listening to all kind of music, but i grew up listening to rock and metal. One of the bands i enjoy the most is probably Mumford and Sons though.

I spent a great deal of my childhood nerding about the Lord of the Rings and this passion will never leave me. Currently i am trying out the Simarillion. Enjoying the Tolkien universe to such a great extend, it might be no wonder that i also love the A Song of Ice and Fire-books of George R.R. Martin.
Still i love all sorts of books and it definitely isn’t easy for me to cut it down to one, but to name a few books or authors:

Same goes for movies, but my all time favorites are of course the Lord of the Rings, Blockbusters like Inception, the Dark Knight and Jurassic Park, the Green Book, Breakfast on Pluto, the Imitation Game, Hidden figures, the Danish girl,
and series like Peaky Blinders, the Crown, After Life, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Orange is the new Black and Sherlock.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Scuba diving with Manta rays, White tip and Black tip reef sharks and overcoming my fear of the ocean's deep.

Sharing great laughter and music on a summer night by a camping fire.

Meeting and falling in love with wonderful people with beautiful minds while traveling, acting and scuba diving.

Being lucky enough to work and share compassion with beautiful souls that are actors.

Teach, Learn, Share

All i know is i can share great funny stories, a good old dinner with a great red wine, a pint afterwards and providing a good deep talk. Aaaand maybe some knowledge, some enthusiasm and a different outlook on life.
