About Me

My philosophy towards life: try everything at least once. I am often intrigued by the nature of life and I get excited with the opportunity to learn & experience new things. I'm easy going, happy go lucky kind of person. Believe it or not, my childhood dream (still am) was to travel the world. Currently trying to figure out my future direction and travel more before I graduate.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Initially, I had my fair share of skepticism towards the sharing economy. Personal safety was a major concern because you never know what would happen when you stay over at a stranger's place or invite them to your home. Things changed when my friend and I went on a last minute trip Perth. We were kind of desperate because most accommodations ware booked out and Airbnb saved our asses big times.

Since then, I had a shot at hosting on Airbnb and it proved to be a rewarding experience. I made friends from Netherlands, New Caledonia (I swear I have never heard of this country before), the States etc. Most of them are polite, interesting and genuinely kind people. I had lots of fun hanging out with my guests, 'playing tourist' and exploring the city.

I guess that is why I am on CS. I am open to a more personal travelling experience where I get to spend a few days with my host, experience the local culture through his or her eyes and learn the language.
