I am a 26 year old Dutch girl living in Belgium. I'm studying Political Science and am hugely interested in foreign politics and conflict studies.
My huge love for traveling has made it necessary that I travel outside of Europe at least once a year. But don't be mistaken, I love the European countries as well. I usually go to France or Italy each summer to enjoy nature, warm weather and picturesque villages. I love roadtrips and require myself to do one each summer. Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to meet new people and get to know different cultures. I love traveling and hotels are so expensive. I know how much you can spend on hotels and don't like spending that money myself. I want to offer other people the same and let them focus on experiencing other things..

I'm traveling across the US for 6 weeks and have been couchsurfing a lot. I love the local experience you get by meeting these new people. It's a great way to immerse yourself in another country, make new friends and get some great conversations out of it. It has opened my eyes about some views I had and that makes it very interesting.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Spending 3 months in South Africa for an internship combined with a lot of traveling.
Skydiving (yes jumping out of a plane) in that same South Africa. It was an amazing experience!

Don't have much to teach unless you're interested in knowledge about Belgium and the Netherlands.
I'm not a great cook but know my way around the kitchen.
Ride a bike? The cliche is true, us Belgians and Dutch people are great on a bike!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am a tidy person and try not to be any trouble at all. I'll follow your rules and clean up after myself. If you want to socialize I'm in the mood for that. But if you want to be left alone and only give me place to crash, that's also great!
