HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've surfed a bunch, now I'm hoping to pay it forward by hosting.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I surfed almost all of a three-week trip with my sister through Eastern Europe. So many amazing people opened their homes to us, a pair of dirty backpackers. I've surfed in Copenhagen and Istanbul, too. It's the only way to travel.

Abandoned Philly buildings, good food that can be eaten outside, trying to take artsy photos with a sub-par camera.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Watching the sunset in Oia, Santorini, on Christmas Eve, then hopping on an ATV to drive along the rocky highway at night. In the freezing rain. Terrifying, but amazing.

Other greats? Wandering through Argentine penguin colonies, hitchhiking in Patagonia, getting lost in Moroccan markets, singing Billy Joel in Irish pubs, eating a hamburger under a bridge in Istanbul, nearly catching fire at Las Fallas.
