About Me

I am currently a college student, studying at Hampshire College, MA. Originally I came from Vietnam. My passion is architecture, urban studies, piano and Studio Ghibli. I adore and admire Mr. Miyazaki, Wong Kar Wai, and Joe Hisaishi.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am visiting Boston for 2 days and want a roof to stay under at night. We will be out most of the days so couchsurfing would be the cheapest, most convenient way for us. As international students and having exposed to different cultures from our own, we are well-adapting, friendly and open minded. Also, we want to make friends who are local and whose advice would be invaluable to us for this is our first time in Boston.

Interests

I am interested in traveling, foods (haha who doesn't), hanging out with friends, boba teas, dumpling, Phở, sushi, halal street food like Lamb over rice. I can play piano and a little bit of guitar. I am especially interested in learning new languages. Next year would be my second year of learning Chinese and third year of my French.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love Joe Hisaishi's music. I also love EDM, Zedd for example. My favourite movies are mostly animation created by Studio Ghibli, such as My Neighbor Totoro, Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle, Only Yesterday.... Also Hong Kong movies by Wong Kar Wai like In the Mood for Love, Chunking Express, Ashes of Time, Happy Together.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

To ride a scooter for 10 miles at midnight to camp by the sea shore in Phú Yên, Vietnam. It was quite a wild adventure for the area has no street lights and even the streets are unpaved.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can tell you of my trip to Phú Yên and share with you photos that we took there. Also the experience I have as international students here in the U.S.

Countries I’ve Visited

China, Singapore, Thailand

Countries I’ve Lived In

Viet Nam
