About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Never forget how lucky I am and enjoy life positively.

ABOUT ME

I am a small breton girl, who loves spending time with people. People are actually my fuel to discover and do the more things I can.
I'm a sensitive, enthusiastic and easygoing person and respect is a really important thing for me in any relationship. As my "mission" says, I always try to take life in a positive way.
I work freelance in Compositing and Motion Graphics. "What is that?" is the common question I have to face when I tell people about my job. But don't worry, I'll tell you about it if you want.

PHILOSOPHY

Stay positive, don't get embittered by insignifiant worries.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Like a lot of people I guess. By offering my company to people coming to L.A. and by looking for some company wherever I travel to.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been participating to the CS project by enjoying a really nice time with nice people and nice food at a Belgian CS meeting. I also welcomed some of my roommate's CouchSurfers and have couchsurfed twice myself in Belgium, sharing really nice times.

Interests

Live action and animation movies, art, languages, the Ocean, the Grand Canyon and tea.
I'm also fond of cultural and geographic discoveries, "people-watching" in Venice, hiking, dancing...

Music, Movies, and Books

Wow, that's a hard question to answer... Here are some movies that I really like, at random :
The Coen Brothers' movies (Fargo, O' Brothers, A serious man), Alejandro G. Iñarritu movies (Amores perros, Babel...), Respiro, The Departed, La Vie est Belle, Volver (and actually all Almodovar movies), The Generale, La Visite de la Fanfare, Jacques Tati's movies, Funny Games, The Jungle Book, Despicable me, Mary Poppins, Mary and Max, ...

As for music, I'm more into rock and folk, but like a lot of different style, while not really fond of rap and metal music. I like : Architecture in Helsinki,tUnE yArDs, The Black Keys, The Rolling Stones, Moriarty, Cat Power,Two Door Cinema Club, Buena Vista Social Club, Idir, Lhasa, Radiohead, Arcade Fire, Jack the Ripper, The Doors, Franz Ferdinand, Sigur Ros...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Go to Los Angeles for an internship during 4 months on my own. It actually taught me a lot of things about myself (first of all, speaking american English!).It was the first time I was travelling on my own for so long, and so far! I actually discovered a new kind of freedom too.And it was great to have to adapt to such a city and a culture, be totally immersed.Visiting the Grand Canyon was also a really amazing experience!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you about compositing and motion graphics (my job) and how we make a movie look nice and have a real atmosphere and realistic visual effects. I can also teach you the crepes recipe (very useful when you want to dazzle people around you!)

As for learning, I love learning words of new languages, and would love to be able to learn a lot of languages. I'd like to know how to juggle, how to cook delicious dishes with simple things, and I also would love to know how to fly if somebody has the trick!
