ABOUT ME

A stage actor taking things to another level! I love playing to an audience (acting's just a license to show off really, isn't it?) and telling a good story. The applause and love of an audience at the end of a show is the greatest feeling in the world! Okay, second greatest; but you get my point.

I was once introduced as "the nicest man I know" by a lovely Scottish theatre producer. I told her that she'd had enough and that she was on J2O for the rest of the night.

A writer of short stories and a teller of tales. An old romantic who likes to let his hair down when traveling.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Why couch surf when there are hotels and hostels to visit? Simplez; People. Big cities can be oh-so-dull, cold and un-inviting when you're alone.

I love to meet and greet new and interesting people, to share experiences and to get to know the places and sights that only a native can show me. I love building new relationships and making new friends and this is why I couch surf.

In return, you will always find me an amiable (if a little quiet at first) guest, always willing to help, always up for a laugh, keen on new things and a great conversationalist. Tell you what; I'll bring my puppet parrot, if you'd like :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Frequently couch surfing in the arty Bohemian warehouse scene of north London. Just met a man who had forgotten that he once snogged K T Tunstall at a university party in his younger days. Can't have been a very memorable experience!

Interests

Arts. People. People. Arts. Liberal humanist, that's me!

I love dogs and all animals (though I was bitten by a Llama once!) If it's furry and friendly, I'll pet it (and probably talk in a "Awwww, who's a cute widdle puppywuppy, then?" voice. Sorry about that in advance.)

I'm also a passionate about the environment and green issues; you'll find me a very enthusiastic conversationalist about how we're f*cking the whole thing up and what we need to do about it.

Music, Movies, and Books

Films - oh, such a long list,... here goes: Godfather Trilogy, anything by Charlie Kaufman (Spotless Mind, I'm looking at you!), Sideways, Lost in Translation, Amelie (most charming film ever. period.), anything directed by Edgar Wright, most of the Batman's (old and new), Lord of the Rings (obviously), Se7en, Dark City - the list just goes on and on! Tell you what; we'll compare notes over a coffee!

Teach, Learn, Share

People say that I'm a mighty fine dancer but I have no formal training. I'd love to learn dances from all across the world! How do you dance in Brazil? How do you dance in Hong Kong? Show me, I'll make a fool of myself, we'll all have a good laugh!

In return, I'd love to write you a short story - right there before your eyes. Chuck me info, I'll chuck something back; add sound props and we'll make it a whole sensory experience!
