I am making my way through life, learning in every moment. I enjoy crafting, cooking, watching films, reading.....and trips out to eat cake with friends.
When I don't have the energy for any of those, I am very good at making a nest with a duvet and pillows and hiding with soft animals and investing my time in self-care.
I am learning to live as an adult with physical impairments in a world that disables me - and gradually finding ways around the barriers I am faced with. I am determined to be just as functional as any other person!

I travel - to explore the world, to meet new people, and to deliver thoughts (talks, seminars, training).
Staying in hotels and the like costs more than any young professional working in education can afford, and you meet many more interesting people if you couch surf. The potential for new friendships is magnificent, and the sharing of cultures, languages and perspective is priceless.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Learned to accept my change in circumstances. Accepted my need for mobility aids and medication an regular rests. That, in our ableist world, has been massive. It has taught me a lot about self acceptance and self-care. And it has taught me to be extra understanding and accommodative to others.

I can offer to cook, to bring experiences and stories and knowledge. I will share whatever I can from what is in my head and my skills. I can't always do a lot physically, but I will do anything I can. Also, I'm super good at passing my time playing, so if you have children, I can keep them occupied!
