I am a good-humoured primary school teacher. I am very passionate and discuss what interests me (the climate, languages, equitable education, travel, vegetarian food). At the same time, I enjoy learning about all kinds of things and learning new things from others. I get energy from connecting with others, especially if they come from a different culture or background than me. When travelling, I am curious and love to experience the no-nonsense everyday things, customs or rituals of the country I am visiting.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Travelling is mainly about the people you meet and the things you can learn from each other. Couchsurfing to me is definitely not a way to save money, but to really connect with other people, different lifestyles and see places through somebody else's eyes.

Interests

Travelling (what a surprise), learning new languages (currently learning Malay), doing all kinds of sports (my favourite one at the moment is dancing salsa), reading (big fan of Isabel Allende), and cooking (trying some new Indian dishes at the moment)...

Work and live in Malaysia. Will forever feel like my second home.
