Hello, I am travel-loving Korean student, from South not North.
Fortunately I was selected as an exchange student In Uppsala Univ(Sweden) Autum 2015-Spring 2016. Therefore I am planning to travel west Europe from 04 Aug 2015 - 20 Aug 2015 before I start Europe student life. I will accompany one high school friend who is not selected as an exchange student. He will just travel with me and go to korea at the end of Aug. During my exchange life, I will get around many many Europe countries near Sweden.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Before starting my exchange life, I want to have experience with foreign friend. In 2014 Summer I was in east-mid Europe for 3 weeks,(Turkey to Swiss) 2015 Winter I was in Nepal ABC trekking for 2 weeks. My past experience, I had no chance to use couchsurfing. I am very sorry about that. So this time I really want to engage near-real foreign life by using couchsurfing. In addition, If we get to know each other well, during my exchange-stduent period oftenly want to meet up.

Interests

I like running and swimming. My goal is to participate triathlon olympic course.
I'm not good at that things, but enjoy it.

Lately I started learning piano. (Start March 2015).
Maybe In Aug, I can play to you some simple song.

I like these lyrical piano song. But I have little knowledge about classic and Popsong. I just know about K-pop.

My best movie Is 'GATTACA' -The science fiction movie focus on genetic modification.
I also like 'Face off' and 'recruit'(2003, Al pacino). I like typical story. ( crisis - hard effort - overcome - happy ending).

I'm big fan of Oscar Wilde. I collected his short stories and 1 novel(the picture of dorian grey) both kor and eng. I envy his wit and charming storytelling. And I like Young ha Kim(Korean writer).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

While I trekked Poonhill-ABC course, I and My friends(two total 3 people) were in distress for 4hours real situation. due to that tragedy, we had to give up the trekking to top. But with one accord we succeeded to escape the isolation. Due to my English shortage, I can't explain the urgeny and tension that time. When I have enough language skill, I can tell you about that event.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm just undergraduate student, so I can't teach you.
But I can tell you (If you are not asian) about the East-asia.(KOR-JPN-CNA) South korea is between Japan and China and have realtion with two coutnries so long time.It's no exaggeration to say Korea's history is East-asia's history.
I want to hear about Europe history and culture. I don't care where you from. I think that EU citizen is enough knowledge to tell about the Europe to Asian.
And We can share youth.
