ABOUT ME

I'm originally from Los Angeles, but i LOVE to travel. My passion is spirituality, traveling, and food. I love to meet new people, learn and most importantly, have fun! Honestly, I am a kid at heart, so I like to live life to it's fullest enjoying every aspect.

I now am based out of Bali and facilitate yoga teacher trainings and wellness workshops.

PHILOSOPHY

Open-Heart. Kindness, compassion and learning to understanding others goes such a long way. We may disagree, we may not understand, we may get triggered, but ultimately if I can see each human as a being who is doing the best they can with whatever tools they do or do not have, I can better understand that we're all navigating life in it's varied forms and I can keep my heart from shutting everything and everyone out to "protect myself". So, ultimately... how can I be more loving to myself and to others???

Learning. I learn every single day. Whether it's in school or in life, there is always something new to absorb. Knowledge is never-ending and even if I learn the same thing again, you can always learn it in a different perspective.

Traveling. What better way than to expand my knowledge and cultural experiences. How can I learn about myself if I do not get out of my comfort zone. To look at things in a different perspective is the only way to gain better understanding of myself, my surroundings and our world as a whole.

Food. cooking and eating are two passions of mine. What better way to enjoy life than to enjoy what sustains our life. We all need food, so why not savor good food.

Help. Where would we all be without a helping hand? We all rely on something or someone and therefore it's our job to be there for other people.

Love. after all, love is what makes the world go 'round, right? What more is to be said then. it's that simple.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I found out about couch surfing while studying abroad in Spain in 2007. I was living with 4 other couchsurfers in an apartment in Salamanca. An American, a Spaniard, an Australian and an Italian. A super diverse household that is bonded through our love for traveling, cooking, new experiences and just general love for people.

Since then, I have met an abundance of great couchsurfers and continue to want to do so!

I have taken a hiatus for a few years, but would like to get back into this community

Interests

Traveling, practicing spanish, exploring new things, cooking then eating, and trying new things.

I like being outdoors and seeking new adventures: hiking, swimming, whitewater rafting, scuba diving, rock climbing, yoga. I enjoy gazing up at the stars and running through the rain. Listening to the waves crash on the ocean. I particularly love the sound of crackling dried leaves as i walk.

Music: House, Electronic Dance Music, Pop, Hip Hop, Spanish, and many much more that I have yet to classify

Books: Fantasy/Sci-fi novels (Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Kingkiller Chronicles, etc.)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent about a month in Vietnam, teaching and learning from students, orphans, teachers and children affected by Agent Orange.

I sold all my things and moved to Thailand

Teach, Learn, Share

Each of us is unique with our own path on life. Everyone has an experience and a perspective that is different than others. Connecting and conversing with others, we get the chance to broaden our minds. We can all learn something from each other, whether we are aware of it or not. I am excited to discover new relationships and new developments in how I affect others and how others help me grow to be the person that I am.

On a more basic note: I really enjoy cooking and teaching people the secrets of making cooking easy and enjoyable. :)
