Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

When I was living in Whistler we had some lovely french guys come to stay with us and it was a positive first CouchSurfing (hosting) experience. i hope to be in a situation again soon where I can welcome visitors into my home...

I love couch surfing - staying with friends, and friends of friends, also previously through GlobalFreeloaders.com, and have met some amazing people. I am always overwhelmed by people's kindness and generosity. Yay for sharing stories and experiences with new found friends!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love a wide variety of music, ranging from Nirvana to Prodigy, drum n bass to folk, electro to hip hop, Rage Against the Machine to Natasha Atlas...

oooooh - so many good movies have been made!!! I enjoy different films for different reasons, and of course it depends on my mood...
Some that come to mind include: Amelie; Being John Malcovich; Point Break; Bill and Ted; Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon; Slumdog Millionaire

Sadly I have not read so many books... I do enjoy sitting down and reading, but I am not a very fast reader and never seem to find the time...
I enjoyed reading 'The Prophet' by Khalil Gibran and 'The Power of Now'
also 'Round Ireland with a Fridge' by Tony Hawks, a quirky must read for all of us couch surfers :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

...being up on the mountains with a snowboard on a bluebird powder day
...walking round the hills and paddy fields in Sapa, Vietnam
...motorcycle tour Dalat to Mui Ne, Vietnam
...The Tongariro Crossing, NZ
...biking and hiking in the great outdoors, whenever, wherever :)
...being a part of Burning Man...

These are but a few - I feel so lucky and am sure there are many more to come...
