I am a design student studying in Toronto. I love art, and architecture, exploring and photographing but really just love seeing and experiencing new things. I am open to new things and there isn't much I will say no to.

At the moment I am in Edinburgh on a study exchange, learning new methods and finding my way in a new country. And of course I am trying travel and see as many places as I can while I am in Europe.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I just recently discovered couchsurfing after hearing about it from a friend. It seems like it will be a great way to meet and spend time with interesting people who want to share their experiences and hear about mine.

I also hope it might give me a different perspective on travel. I have previously only stayed in hotels and hostels which are great but I feel like they somehow separate you from the real cultural experience, and I don't want to miss out on one bit of it.

Music, Movies, and Books

I can't put my finger on any one book, movie or artist because there are so many to love and a never ending list of new ones to discover.

A few books that always stand out are:
The Book Thief by Markus Zusak
Harry Potter (all of them) by JK Rowling
The Berlin Boxing Club by Robert Sharenow
Looking for Alaska by John Green
and the list goes on.........

Movies... I'm not the biggest fan. I can't seem to sit through many without getting bored and restless but that's probably in part because most are quite predictable these days. I'm definitely not against watching them, but just prefer to spend my time doing more exciting things!

Artists, the list is too long to even begin, I am always looking to find new artists and genres to add to my playlists. Anything with a good beat will keep in interested.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have done many interesting things but there isn't one thing I can say is AMAZING... I am hoping that over the course of the next few months, that will change! I want to have a head full of crazy stories to tell by the end of this trip.
