I am currently spending a gap year (or two) in the states. I am here as an AuPair, which means I provide childcare for a family that I also live with. I started in Oktober '15 and spend 10 months in Alabama, since September '16 I live in Minnesota.
After my AuPair year I will probably go back to Germany and study something with tourism and English and maybe journalism
Or I might just go to New Zealand for half a year ... I'll see :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to see new places and meet the people that live at these places. I think this is a great platform to exchange cultures, learn new things, meet new people and make great friends all over the world!

Movies, except horror movies, you won't get me to watch any of those! :D
I don't really have any favorite bands/singers/songs, they change all the time and i just like to listen to the hits that are 'in' right now.
Yeah, I know, sounds pretty mainstream, but come on, I work full time as babysitter and talk and think in English, which is not my mother tongue AND try to socialize at the the same time, so I don't really have time to explore new artists! :P

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Leaving my home country, family and friends behind to live with a complete strange family in a new, far away country for at least a year was definitely strange and scary but also one of the best things that has ever happened to me!
