If you hadn't already gathered my name is Miraky (Mirror-kye)

In 2016 I travelled solo to 23 countries in Europe. It was one of the best experience of my life to date, and the majority of that is thanks to the people I met along the way. It is for this reason that I would like to give back to the CS community and try to give surfers an experience similar to those my hosts had on me.

Overall I'm an open, caring and down to earth person people often define it as "hippie" but I honestly define myself as a clumsy mess. I love a good laugh at my own expense and as my humour is a tad sarcastic and dark I spend more time laughing at my own jokes than anyone else. To be honest I'm an oversharer and probably tell people a bit too much about my life, but generally, that opens people up to talk about themselves and their experiences as well.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Whilst I was traveling Couchsurfing gave me unknown confidence, I was constantly out of my comfort zone and learnt how to put my best food forward. Doing this I l arm a lot about myself, but also learning to adapt to the way others live their lives.

CS is a great platform as it connects people who would never normally meet and can lead to long lasting friendships all around the world.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Backpacked solo across Europe for 10 months.
On paper I have everything going for me, a relationship, good grades at university, a job, amazing friends but I dropped everything to find myself and explore the world.
