About Me

Helllooo! I'm Miranda, an introverted bubble of energy on a path of self-acceptance (and life acceptance). My friends would say I'm a chatty Russian grandmother at heart who loves to cook for others and go on existential adventures, with a strong touch of practicality and a great sense of humour. Currently galivanting between adventures and gigs and transitioning to being a digital nomad and online business owner. I've worked in the live event industry in London for the past 5 years so no stranger to manual labour, as well as a laid back but crack on attitude. Outside of my official work that pays the bills, I'm focusing on developing myself as a storyteller, filmmaker, photographer and inner work guide with a focus on men's emotional, mental and physical wellbeing. Big fan of movement of all kinds and enjoy being in nature a whole bunch. Learning to be a better, more grounded listener and rooted human being. I'm also leaning into learning about land regeneration and building homes in harmony with the land.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I enjoy the wonderful moments of opening myself up to new experiences while also bringing what I have to offer to my host, be that stories, humour, or baked goods. In a world of convenience, and my living in London for 11 years, I'm looking to get a bit uncomfortable and reach out to people to connect and be welcomed, instead of conveniently booking a place and then being a bit shy with the locals. Currently learning Portuguese as it seems the country is calling me and I'm curious to connect with the people, learn about the culture and the land.

Music, Movies, and Books

Listen to everything from classical to metal. Recent artists have been Sleep Token, Ayla Noreo, The Halluci Nation, Temple Step Project, Kamaniu Silelis, Danheim, Avi Kaplan, CAri Cari, but my liked songs are all over the place. Big into books aaaand trying to get back into it as a habit, as the year was a bit wavy and hasn't been a priority. Do love me my studies so dive into psychology, somatics, philosophy and everything in between through audiobooks and read soulful fiction on my ebook.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Saved a kitten from a dire situation last year, rehabbed him and found him a family to match his energy.

Teach, Learn, Share

Happy to teach language learning systems and my philosophy, photography/editing, and movement (especially safe lifting at work), as well as some tools for nervous system regulation and what I know about healing and integration.

Super curious and love learning the most random stuff, and would love to learn and practice some Portuguese.

Share - laughter, food, hugs.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Happy to cook up a dinner (or few) as well as some lovely baked goods, some stories and a good sense of humour.
