About Me

My name is Miranda, I'm 18 and was born in Chicago, Illinois. I now live in Georgia mostly out of my car and cheap motels based on what I can afford each week. I have chronic migraines and a slew of other chronic and painful health conditions which have forced me to spend the majority of my life either in bed or in the hospital. I've joined couchsurfing because my boyfriend and myself have both grown up with similar struggles in our lives and want to be able to truly experience all that life can offer and share as much love, joy, and kindness to others what we can while we are still here.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I feel a need to do more with my life. If I can not find a way to travel and experience a life outside of being sick I do not know what I will do. I need to escape the modern day 40 hour work week and expectations of constant schooling and needing to take care of other people. I am searching for a life filled with wealth of happiness instead of money.

Interests

I love to experience new things. I indulge myself with the world and all of its beauty. I love music, and painting, as well as just about anything involving animals. I have a pretty diverse range of interests but they're all positive. :-)

Music, Movies, and Books

My music taste can range from really strange to extremely mainstream. One of my favorite artists would be Odesza mostly because the songs are very atmospheric and always put me in a good mood.

I've read too many books to have an absolute favorite! If I had to choose one it would probably be anything by John Green (cliche, I know) I also loved The Book Thief.

And with movies I love anything by Hayao Miyazaki, I would seriously get tattoos of all his characters all over my body thats how much I passionately love his work.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I feel as if I've done a lot of really wonderful things in my life, donated time to help humans, animals, and conquered many obstacles within my own self. But I have yet to feel like I have done anything amazing in my life, which is why I'm looking to travel. I need to feel the satisfaction of doing amazing things with my life.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm not good at too many things. I'm horrible at any cooking/cleaning. I'm pretty good at driving, and if you ever have empty walls I can make art. I can help with English, taking care of children or animals, and I'm also pretty technologically savvy. I am pretty useful as a person to talk to, at this point I've pretty much been through everything a person can possibly go through so if any advice or comforting is ever needed I will always be able to help or be there to talk to.
