About Me

CURRENT MISSION

LEARN from people, places, languages...! While enjoying life and making friends ;)

ABOUT ME

I'd like to think of myself as a lively person, amazed by life and people and interested in learning; there is so much to see and so many people to meet! I believe in science (I am a medical student), but I also believe in human rights, in the devotion to help others, in the awesomeness of the unknown and in loving and respecting what surrounds us. I am thrilled to meet people and discover new places, but I also enjoy spending time with myself and my thoughts, from time to time relaxing with a good book or a pencil in hand and something to draw.

PHILOSOPHY

The universe holds so many details about how everything beautifully interwines and works together, that learning about a small small fraction of the complexity we have surrounding us, and being marvelled by what is yet to be discovered, is one the reasons why I live my life. The other, is to grow as a human being by learning from other people, enriching myself and trying to give my best to those that cross my path at some point.
My goal in life other than learning, is to make this learning turn useful to the world. As a person, make people happier by having learnt how powerful a smile can be. As a doctor, healing in order to make people able to live and have the chance of positively influencing the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

At the moment, my main goal in couch surfing is to meet new and interesting people while I practice other languages. I would love to be able to accept guests but I just came back from a year living in Lyon as Erasmus at someone elses' place, and am now traveling on summer.
As for my own Cs experience, I had a wonderful time couchsurfing in France a few summers ago, and I have heard so many amazing stories about what couchsurfing can bring to your life, that I am still looking forward to repeating the experience!

Interests

I find almost anything interesting... It is hard to say! I think I wouldn't be able to survive without music, take Ben Howard and Aretha Franklin as a reference. I also find myself enjoying the beauty of observing people walking down the street and imagining their lives. In my free time I walk, I observe, I sing and listen to music. I also draw and try to learn something about watercolors! I have always thought reading is the best way to get to understand the world, life, people and yourself, and I wish I had more time for it. I adore long train trips whenever I have the window seat. But if I had to say only one interest, I'd say Learning, about anything, but learning :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A month working with doctors and nurses at a rural primary care unit specialized in children and women, for an NGO at the outskirts of Kolkata, India.
The best month of my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

I ain't sure how to fill in this space.
I guess I'd like to learn about anything , but feel pretty interested in watercolors and painting/drawing/sculpture/photography in general! To start to learn how to cook would be wonderful! (PS. I'm also fascinated about physics and philosophy)
As to what can I teach.. I don't really know! I guess that other than my academic knowledge as a medical student and first-aid stuff, I am not that bad at portrait drawing (but I myself should take some lessons), and can also teach Spanish and Catalan (native speaker); I've also taught english before!

Andorra, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Grenada, India, Italy, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States, Viet Nam
