About Me
I just graduated from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington in three years with a major in Spanish and minor in Women's Studies. I am going back to UNCW for grad school in Spanish but taking a semester abroad to become immersed in Spanish culture (in Tarragona, Spain). I lived in North Carolina my whole life and love NC and it's beaches, lakes, and mountains (not so much it's politics and education, though). I'm very active and friendly and really excited to see explore Europe! I haven't traveled on my own much before but I'm very competent and responsible.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm traveling around Europe the month of August before I start my graduate classes in Spanish at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili in Tarragona, Spain. I've been learning Spanish for about 7 years and am nearly fluent (ish). I want to see as much of Europe as I can before I start classes and am, as I'm a student full time, on a low budget! I'm really excited to experience European culture, practice Spanish, and meet new people!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The summer of 2015, I worked as a conservation corps member in Southeastern United States. I was able to work on trails, fight invasive species in the Appalachian mountains, and experience the beauty of the western Carolinas and Virginia. The coolest thing my corps did was help build the staircase in the Alum Cave Trail in the Smoky Mountains: https://www.google.ch/search?q=alum+cave+trail+smoky+mountains&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjOgeLL1e_VAhUEwBQKHZcSDD4Q_AUICigB&biw=1132&bih=637#imgrc=rhunoWqEIhtAJM:
