About Me

I'm a freelance violinist who loves music, traveling and adventure. I'm currently on a three month tour across the States, which makes for a great combo of all three!

I grew up in Southern Utah, surrounded by the Grand Staircase Nat’l Monument and several National Parks. Red rock country holds a special place in my heart. I’ve traveled extensively across the United States and Canada (been to 48 of the 50 states). I'm hoping to do more international travel soon. New to couch surfing and excited to join this awesome community!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I can't imagine a more fulfilling way to travel and see the world than through getting to know natives of the city or country I'm in. Our world is made up of stories and I'd love to hear yours.

Interests

I enjoy anything music-related—it's a huge part of my life. I love exploring new places and meeting people of all ages and walks of life. My fondest traveling memories often involve finding niche things to see and do. Hiking is awesome (wandering off trail is more my style). Life wouldn't be complete without deep conversations and exploring philosophy and the meaning of life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I’m in the process of finishing up my 32' tiny house. I purchased a 1971 incident command bus 4 years ago, and since then I’ve been building it into my dream home. In the process I’ve learned woodworking, rudimentary plumbing/electrical skills, and more. I'm so excited to get it on the road!

Teach, Learn, Share

Some of my happiest moments have been connecting with others through music—I love jamming. I'm most familiar with fiddle, classical and vintage, but I'm always down to try anything! If you've ever wondered how it would be to play the violin, I'd be happy to teach a lesson or two :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

My violin comes with me almost everywhere I go, and I'm always down to jam or give a private concert. I enjoy spending time with people and building connections, but I have an introvert side that doesn't mind limited interaction if that is preferred. I try my best to be a low impact, low maintenance guest, and I’m happy to help out as needed around the house and yard.
