ABOUT ME

hello!
my name is miriam gwilt. i'm a 26 year old writer/artist/activist/all around good time! from august to november of 2007, i embarked on a cross country trek via greyhound bus. i'd never gone on a trip by myself before, and had lived in new mexico since i was 4 years old. hundreds of hours on the road and countless stories later, i learned more about myself than i ever expected. i visited michigan for the womyn's music fest, then stayed with friends in lansing for a week before heading to chicago, where i spent 2 days. after that, i went to milwaukee, where i spent 2 weeks with some amazing friends that i'd made at fest, ending in a 55 hour bus ride to san francisco, where i stayed for 6 weeks, and finally returned to albuquerque. now that my travels have subsided, i'm looking to repay the kindness of all those who offered their homes while i was hopping about.

PHILOSOPHY

life is a giant collage. every person that you meet adds to that collage in one way or another. it may not look like it all fits together at first, but when you take a step back, and see the beauty of it all, it's enough to make you cry.
