ABOUT ME

To describe myselve? I bring in lots of energy and a laid-back attitude at the same time. I do have my worries about my life and the world, but always try to stand on the shiny side.

Since I am seventeen, and standing on my own bare feet, my life is continually changing. I moved in en out more than I can count on my hands, did lots of studies, practices and had even so many jobs. In the variation from theatre producer too social worker in a high secure mental institute. Nowadays I have a lovely job as social worker in a living community for psychiatric clients.

I left my heart in Berlin, where I used to live. But besides Berlin, I love travelling through the world, and, I am quite spontaneous when it comes too that.

What I do in the time between coming and leaving? December this year, me and my boyfriend Otto grew back together, and, as a big and beautiful surprise, I got pregnant.

We are living together in Utrecht again, waiting for the great new wonder, we will receive in september.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in the power of love. Besides that, my basic values are quite humanistic. I believe in people. In their goodness and their responsibility. But, I had some spiritual experiences too, so I can't deny, that there's something more....

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfing is a wonderful system. I hosted and surfed a lot, since 3 years or so. My berlin appartment was something like a couchsurfing heaven, and I met Otto through couchsurfing... Both quite dedicated to CS, we even hosted the Dutch Lessons in Utrecht.

Soon, we will discover how it will be to surf and host as a family.

MOVIES: Der Krieger und die Kaiserin, Lola Rennt (Tom Tykwer), Transylvania, Exils, Gadjo Dilo, Gegen die Wand, The Dreamers, Amelie, L'Auberge Espanole, te Fountain, Liberte.

BOOKS: To many to tell, but let's try my very favourites since I can read:
Thea Beckman, John Marsden, Melvin Burgess as a kid.
Nowadays: I love writers as Paulo Coelho, Ervin Laszlo, Leon de Winter, Kurt Vonnegut en Carlos R. Zavon.
My most favourite writer is Etty Hillesum. She was a Dutch Jewish young women, who didn't survived the second world war. Her diary and letters where found and published in the book: Etty Hillesum, an interrupted life (in Dutch: Het verstoorde leven van Etty Hillesum).
I never learned, laughed and cried more than reading this book. She wrote something that feels like a bible to me.

MUSIC: Singer Songwriters, Worldmusic, Indie, Pop, Lounge... Damien Rice, Solo, Ane Brun, Travis, Dresden Dolls, Auf die Maur, Razorlight, Fanfare Ciocarlia, Everything but the girl, Air, Belle and Sebastian.

Living with HIV infected Gypsi Kids and 15 Christian young girls in Romenia. I still don't know which cultureshock was the biggest.

Living in Berlin, a place that's bounded in my heart, forever.
