Hi. My name is Mirko Popovic and I come from Novi Sad, Serbia. I have a bachelor's degree in Clinical Psychology. Music and literature have been great passions of mine for as long as I can remember and I enjoy art in most of its forms. Just recently I have moved back from China. I was working there as an english teacher for one year.

Exposure to Chinese culture really stirred up my curiosity for visiting and learning about different nations, so I have decided to embark on a new chapter in my life which will be more travel centered than the one before. Since now I can understand the passion, I would be more than willing to host whomever decides to explore the hidden goods of Serbia.

Music, Movies, and Books

I would not be able to say that I have a favourite genre of music. One of my all time greats is definitely Sting. Classical music-wise, Chopin rises to the top.
When it comes to movies, I must say that I greatly respect the work of Alejandro Gonzales Inarritu (especially his film "Biutiful"), but I also enjoy Guy Ritchie's and Quentin Tarantino's films.
Ian McEwan is the greates living writer as far as I am concerned. Every single book that I have read from him, has been nothing short of an enthralling masterpiece. Lawrence, Dostoyevski, Sartre, Zilahy, Russell... Are always welcome.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I had written and composed numerous songs by the time I was 18. And by the time I was 23 , I already had a international working experience.
