Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I'm looking for a neighborhood that feels like home.
ABOUT ME
A lot of people think my life is chaotic. I think i'm just good at multitasking. I split my time between Austin, TX, Pittsburgh, PA and Berlin, Germany. For me, home spans many continents.
That said, I'm a pure-bred Northerner. I literally have no idea what I'm doing here in Austin; America south of D.C. is pretty much uncharted territory for me.
Work, my music career and my general wanderlust have kept me mobile. I'm on the road at least a week out of the month. I can fit all my possessions in the trunk of my car, keep a packed suitcase in my office, and always fly carry-on.
PHILOSOPHY
There's nothing quite like feeling like you're home. I'm trying to learn to be at home anywhere.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've hosted and I've surfed, but not much. When I stay put for more than a few months, I'd love to host more!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've couch-surfed before with other people, mostly on their accounts, so I've surfed a fair number of couches in the past. But it was time to get my own account.
Interests
Music-making, music-producing, DJing, and all related things. Good food, good cooking, good restaurants, all things eating and drinking. Cycling too.

Music, Movies, and Books
Tree of Life is a fantastic movie. I'm not big on movies though; they don't seem to hold my attention as long as other things.
Trentemøller is an incredible musician, but I'm kind of in a late-onset darkwave phase. Ask me about music; I am a DJ and producer and jazz musician as well!
The Incredible Lightness of Being, by Milan Kundera keeps me grounded in hard times, but I've been on a Paul Auster kick recently.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
People. Places are beautiful, yet seem devoid of meaning without the people that inhabit them.
I've spent time with the people that have most defied my life experience, and I'm thankful for that. Oh, and I've also interviewed some pretty amazing figures.
Teach, Learn, Share
Honestly, I love sharing everything in my head to anyone who wants it. From the history of electronic music to cooking, to woodworking and rapid prototyping, to formal logic.
