Hi I am Mirna Memic, a highschool student from Skopje, Makedonija. I've always loved the art of traveling and meeting new people so I was very happy when I found this community. I turned 18 in July and I immediately traveled to Germany to visit a friend and also to check out some universities here in Hamburg. To have the full Balkan going to Germany experience I also worked for a short amount of time here. I come form a multi cultural family so I've had a pretty interesting childhood because I had the privilege to learn the culture of both my Islamic Bosnian side and my Christian Macedonian and Serbian side, and compare their lifestyles and adapt to both of them. So that's why i am always excited to get to know new cultures because I already know the full beauty of it:) I've always been a straight A student which makes me a nerd I guess... But I also do acting so I have a cool artistic side(maybe...) 😎. But to keep things short I think the most important thing is that I absolutely love to eat and I hope that I can meet a lot of new people to introduce me to their cuisine.

I come from a multi culti family so I've had contact with art from both my Muslim Bosnian side, and Christian Macedonian and Serbian side and also the influence of American pop culture so I can say that I listen to literally everything, same goes for movies and books. My song on my playlist just changed from altai throat singing to a Balkan pop artist Senidah. People usually get shocked when they hear that I listen to a certain type of genre or artist but I think It is just that I have been exposed to different types of music and I've learned to love them all.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I've saved a pregnant stray dog that had been hit by a car, stopped the bleeding with my bare hands, keeping her alive with all of my diy medical equipment and stayed with her through the whole night because there was no vet at the time. It was a long exhausting night but some time after she gave birth :,)
