I'm a student living in Ghent, Belgium. I am studying Nature and forestry management at the University of Ghent and love to go travelling during the summer holidays. I like getting to know a region or a country by getting in touch with locals and ask about their must-do's and opinions. My favorite ways of travelling are thus hitch-hiking, biking and simply backpacking. I am specifically fond of mountainous regions (Alps, Pyrenees, Dinarian Alps,...), the southern Balkan countries (especially Bosnia) and Scandinavia. On my bucket list (among many more): hiking in the Andes, research in Congo Bassin and biking in the USA. In the spring of 2015 I'll be studying in Umea, Sweden as part of an Erasmus exchange!
