Resumen
Sobre mí
I'm a history / museum / art / video game geek. I try my best to be kind, empathetic, tolerant, and polite!
Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing
A couchsurfer once helped me out when my flight got into another country after I could move into my apartment. Since then, I've always thought about becoming more active to pay that kindness forward!
Intereses
I'm passionate about connecting people with their history and learning about their cultural heritage through art - that's why I've worked in museums and why I write about meaningful play and educational games. I'm a workaholic, but I always find time for my friends and for fun (even if "fun" consists of Star Trek marathons or playing Mass Effect all day).
I studied art history in undergrad and material culture in graduate school. I'll talk to you about art, history, literature, philosophy, religion, anthropology, video games, and listen to you talk about pretty much anything, so long as you're passionate and sincere!

Algo increíble que he hecho
The coolest place I've been is the 1300 anniversary monument in Shumen, Bulgaria. After climbing 1300 steps, I walked through this art and sculpture installation that represents the history of Bulgaria and all Bulgarians. I was visiting an old roommate of mine who grew up in Shumen and hearing him talk about his country's history while walking in this gigantic monument was awe-inspiring. Pictures for proof (although they don't do it justice):

I would gladly teach you how to crochet, use Twitter for professional development, and/or to use charcoal for drawing. I'd love to learn how to cook better (in general, I have so little motivation for it and so much love for eating - although Blue Apron and the Can't Cook Book helped with that).
