About me! Well, I am a Dutch / English girl who prefers broccoli to cauliflower and tea to coffee (probably the English influence), who likes to consider herself outgoing, spontaneous and always up for an adventure. I find it fascinating to know why people think the way they do, from the personal to the political, so I ask a lot of questions! I love meeting new people, and try to do so wherever I go, from stopping people for a photo on the streets of Russia to starting a conversation over the number of hats in a museum and ending up in a questionable Irish pub in Mongolia. As for the formal stuff: I’ve just graduated with a degree in politics, psychology, law and economics and have been living in Amsterdam for the past three years. I recently came back from an exchange in Seattle for six months and now work on pressuring government and investors to tackle the climate crisis through an internship and volunteering in Amsterdam. :)

Centres d'intérêt

Travelling (like everyone here), wandering around cities, flying over hills on a road bike, new experiences, hitting the odd museum, hiking, potrait photography, reading agony aunt columns, board games, tea and scones, adventure sports, acting, volunteering, going out on a whim, a good party... that aside Climate Change, Inequality, Democracy.. etc ;-)

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

In this area I’m embarrassingly generic, I like pop and tropical house, I like live music (one of the pros of living in Amsterdam!), friends, new girl, HIMYM, etc ;) Not huge on movies but like the odd drama and a bit of a soft spot for Mamma Mia and The Incredibles. Harry Potter of course. Unconventionally, I like reading the newspaper. A paper one ;-)

I would have to say travelling to China from my home town in England without flying (and thus surviving a week without a shower).

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

I could teach you some Dutch but I’m not sure how useful it is considering Holland is tiny. Apart from that I’m still figuring out what a social science degree is useful for, except hopefully some interesting conversations. What I can do, is scrub your dishes till they’re sparkling and have been told my scrambled eggs are pretty good.
