Overview
About Me
Hey! I live on a squatted field on the outskirts of the city of Utrecht, The Netherlands. Our living group over there has the goal to be as autonomous as possible. Think about getting electricity for solar panels, warming yourself in winter by wood stoves, living in caravans/trailers/own build houses. Also our communal living space is build by our self, and it has been build entirely out of recycled materials. Mostly waste we got from construction company's, waste from containers on construction sites and so on.
This way of living can be hard from time to time, since we have to do everything our self, but it is the best way to live for me!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Housemates in the group I'm squatting with have been hosting a lot of couchsurfers over the years, and I always had a good time meeting new people from all over the world. Since I'm now on a trip hitchhiking from Greece back to the Netherlands, I thought I'd give it a go!
So, unfortunately I can not host people at the moment (unless I'll contact my housemates and not be there as a host myself, if someone is desperate for a place to stay), but when I'm back from my journey I would love to host people!
Interests
Taking the maximum life has got to offer, and enjoying it.
Acting on things/situations when I see there wrong, trying to make the world a bit better.
Squatting, Anarchism. Anti-Fascism. Dumpster diving food. Do-It-Yourself mentality.
Hitchhiking around the globe, meeting nice people, sleeping in weird places and having adventures. I'm active in the environmental/refugee/anti-capitalist movement.
I like to be in both nature and big city's.

Music, Movies, and Books
When it comes to music it goes a lot of different ways, from (crust)punk to hiphop, from (post)hardcore to ska. From folk to folkpunk. You name it.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Sleeping in a tree house 20 meters above the ground, in a gigantic storm in autumn. It scared the living shit out of me, but it was an awesome experience.
Also trying to hitchhike to Poland I got a ride in the Netherlands from 2 Polish brothers in a 4x4 jeep. They had to be in Poland before 6 o'clock in the afternoon, driving 190/200 kilometers an hour constantly. I thought I was going to die, but I was in Poland in 6,5 hours! Try to beat that! After we arrived I spend the night at their house, getting drunk and having a really good time.
