I'm a 28-year old teacher currently living and working in the UK. I am of Indian descent, and I grew up in a small town 30 minutes north of NYC. I love traveling, and that previously took me to London, and Kuwait; the first one for study, and the second for work. In both of those countries, I could get around by speaking English so I never felt like I was truly abroad, so I decided to go to China for one year. Now I'm back in the UK with my husband, Ben, who is also an avid traveler and couch surfer. I hope to be able to go abroad one day again! (Even though the UK is technically abroad for me, as I'm from the US...)

I apologize for not being verified! I have been an active couchsurfer since 2014, and never was asked for payment before. I find it a bit strange and am trying to hold out for as long as I can until they force me to pay to even be able to log in...I hope that doesn't happen for a while!

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I couchsurfed for the first time in December 2014 with my boyfriend in Europe and it was such a great experience that I don't want to travel any other way anymore! Since then, I've had some incredible times and met such great people while couchsurfing that I've fallen in love with it.

I've hosted several times in Kuwait, and each experience was completely unique, which is the best part of couchsurfing in my opinion. I got to meet so many interesting people, it was like travelling without actually leaving my house. Unfortunately, I am no longer able to host in my current house; I guess I have to get my travelling fix by actually going travelling!

I've also been to many meetups, from huge parties to small social gatherings, and each experience has been incredible. I love meeting new people and learning about them; even if I never see them again, it's a lot of fun getting to know someone and finding out the things you have in common. It helps you realize that in the end, we are all the same :)

Reading, traveling, meeting new people, and trying new foods. Lately I've gotten a bit more into hiking, bicycling, and camping, though I'm still a novice at them.
