About Me
##### 2017: I have just returned to Sydney after two years in Europe. I'm unavailable to host at the moment but would love to meet travellers and explore Sydney together. #####
CURRENT MISSION
To explore the beauty of our world, to see how others live and to experience life.
ABOUT ME
Hello! My name's Michelle, from sunny Sydney, Australia :) Laid back, friendly and open minded. Love to wander around and be in the great outdoors, enjoying nature. I can walk. And walk. And walk. I like doing random things just for the sake of doing it. I enjoy taking photos and eating, although I'm not a foodie nor picky about what I eat. I'm really easy going and enjoy the simple pleasures in life. I'm an introvert, so quiet company doesn't bother me and I hope it doesn't bother you! I like meeting people and I'm curious to know how others see life and live. I love to travel and have lived in Japan and South Korea, teaching English. I have also lived in England for two years.
PHILOSOPHY
Life is what you make of it. Don't let society and other people tell you what you should be doing. Do what's right for you, because at the end of the day, you need to be right with yourself.
一期一会 Literally means one time, one meeting. I believe life is made up of chance meetings. Some people you meet for a few brief moments, some of those meetings come and go in your life, other meetings turn into lifelong experiences. All of them just as important as each other.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'd like to meet with all sorts of people and explore with them.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've met some great people through CouchSurfing. None of which I would have met at home, I think. I'm hoping Couchsurfing will continue to open up our world.
Interests
Interested in hearing people's stories. Everyone's got a story worth listening to. Taking pictures of beautiful scenery. Eating anything and everything (I'm Chinese, it's in my blood). I like taking random walks. Love the water. Snorkelling, scuba diving. Like learning languages too.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
There are just too many things!
Scuba diving in Moalboal, Cebu, Philippines: seeing sea turtles, colourful corals and beautiful tropical fish; swimming with whale sharks in Donsol, Philippines; freediving in Koh Tao, Thailand.
Lazing in Laos and enjoying the simple life, meeting villagers in the middle of the mountains, leading such a simple, content, secluded life who didn't know about Australia or even the Olympics. Or maybe that was just my poor drawing skills!
Teach, Learn, Share
I know a few languages and a little about SE Asia if you're headed that way. I've lived in Japan and South Korea, so can give some suggestions/ advice. And of course, Sydney :)
What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm also more than happy to wash your dishes :)
