Hi! I'm a young professional who lives in Alexandria, but works only 15 minutes away on the Hill. I just moved here not too long ago from New York, but I'm very familiar with the area having gone to Univ. of MD, College Park (Go Terps!).

I would say that I'm a very easy going person. I like to be helpful in whatever way I can so if you're not from the area, I'd be more than happy to help you with navigating the DC/MD/NOVA (Northern Virginia) area.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would like to travel economically while also making new friends! I'm heavily into travel, and I believe the best way to travel is to be as immersed as much as possible in whatever city I'm visiting. That being said, staying with someone who knows the area and the culture would be the best way to go!

Interests

This past holiday season, I've been spending much of my time focusing on myself through dance class and hot yoga! Now that we're all back in the swing of things, I'm getting back into my volunteer service in the DC Metropolitan area. However, I obviously still find time to travel when I can :)

It's a small book, but it made a big enough impact on me that I still list it as one of my favorite books - The Alchemist

I am an R&B girl to the utmost. I do listen to other genres, if not all, but I enjoy a good voice over anything else.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I wouldn't say that this is amazing, but what's interesting about me is that I became randomly fond of Arabic in my Sophomore year of college and continued to study it afterwards in Morocco where I lived there for a number of months.

Teach, Learn, Share

If I were to be hosted by someone who didn't speak much English and wanted to learn, I wouldn't mind practicing with them. On the flip side, I would also love to practice Arabic, Spanish or French with anyone I'm hosted by as well.
