ABOUT ME
Generally I'm pretty easygoing, in love with life and excited about everything!
I grew up on the eastern shore of Maryland, USA, pampered by sailing, fishing, crabbing, starry skies and pleasant living. I moved to St Andrews, Scotland to go to college/university and graduated with a history degree. Moved down to London, worked in music/digital media for a couple of years. Now I'm doing an MSc in environmental studies at UCL in London.
Since 2009, I have been heavily involved with social and environmental activism in London.
PHILOSOPHY
Climate change is where all the social and environmental issues of our time and of the future come together. Climate activism is not just about carbon: it's about fighting for a fairer world and making communities resilient to the challenges that lie ahead.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Camped (yes, camped!) in Trafalgar Square in December 2009.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm an accomplished belly dancer and am happy to offer lessons! I'm also a very good cook (vegetarian only at the mo). I can also provide training in facilitation skills and consensus decision making (see http://seedsforchange.org.uk/free/shortconsensus for more info). Can do basic direct action training (i.e., taking, holding and keeping a space), but keep in mind that my experience is UK-based so I don't know the legal specifics for the US. As for learning, at the moment my studies have me very interested in Appalachian culture and history, as well as the relationships between people and their environment. Am starting to learn to climb, but am still an amateur. Would love some help if you can spare it! Also interested in foraging - if you can show me around local edibles, that's awesome.
