ABOUT ME

Animals are my first passion, I am a vet and in the past eight years have treated all creatures great and small. I am doing my best to bring together animal welfare and our needs for milk cheese and meat.
My second passion is for the sea. I love surfing snorkeling and swimming. Third one is good food and cooking.
I'm a nice person always up for a beer or a chat, not really the 'completly going nuts kind of party animal' anymore, guess thats getting older ;-)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have surfed many times, in France and Switzerland, also in Australia. In Thailand and Vietnam I used the hangout function to meet other couchsurfers, which is a pretty great idea. I also joined some of the weekly cs dinners in some foreign countries since I'm often traveling alone and its a good way to meet people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Never had a bad experience, met so many lovely funny people and I saw so many places and did things I'd never done just as a normal tourist. I'd like to host people as well but Germanys rural areas don't seem very popular so far...

Interests

I love to try the local food in every new place, drink the local drinks, see how people live there, go hiking or biking or surfing. Always take a look behind the next corner.

Music, Movies, and Books

I remember "Into the wild" because after this we decided to start travelling for the first time ever and I never stopped since then. My favourite book is "The secret history" by Donna Tartt. I like many kinds of music I'm easy to please but not very talented in singing or playing. Sometimes I like to watch a movie or tv series, but I can live without it and often I don't remember the plot, or the actors.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Not enough yet... but if you have the chance try cuddling a newborn alpaka foal :-) they're so so soft

Teach, Learn, Share

Teaching...a friend said many years ago "I learned a lot of unwanted information about breeding cows" I kinda like talking about cows. Feel free to stop me ;-) I like to learn words in foreign languages and then forget them quickly, unfortunately. I like to share food when going out cause I'm always jealous of what you eat...
