CURRENT MISSION

Though I live in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico about half the year, I'm now traveling in the USA then Africa until early November at least. I will notify future CouchSurfers when I am able to accept guests.

ABOUT ME

I was a mixed-media artist for many years, then sold my house and studio in Pennsylvania so I could live by the ocean. Now I do photography and writing which are portable, given my nomadic lifestyle. I write a travel newsletter called The Wandering Muse. Basically, I am enthusiastic and upbeat, truly love traveling and meeting new people, am continually inspired by art and dance. Have friends of all ages in many cities and am enriched because of them.

Whew! Don't have time for this now. Basically believe that most people on the planet are good, that each has gifts to give to the world and that traveling opens us up to learning what each has to offer.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My family and I have put up wanderers from all over the US and the world. Friends of friends, strangers, former students, distant relatives of 3rd cousins or people we met on the subway once in New York.

In turn, I have been hosted by many artists and generous souls in my creative wanderings around the planet.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Traveled through SouthEast Asia for 3 months by myself in 2000. Had no reservations...just plane tickets. Stayed in a jungle camp in Borneo for several days and heard elephants tramping around outside my cabin. Traveled in South America for 6 months in 2008, also with no reservations.

Teach, Learn, Share

Have been an ESL tutor for the past year and can help people with their English, but also love to cook and make great American pie. Will gladly share the secret of my mom's pie crust for those who like desserts.

Want to learn to tango! Have taken lessons in the US, but want to improve.
