I am a hotel receptionist and a private tour guide from
Bangkok, Thailand. My nickname is Zine, it means sand in English.

After working as a marketing analyst for a Japanese company for 6 years I wanted a slower lifestyle. I left my marketing job and started work at a small hotel called Phranakorn Nornlen. They have a unique philosophy of "Slow Life" that attracted me.

The owners of the hotel encourage the staff to do those things that inspire them and for me it was learning more about organic farming and self-reliant living. I did a course in Chiang Mai, Thailand about Adobe House building and another course where we learned about seed saving, soap making and other topics for farm living. If you're interested in the course it was at Pun Pun's Center for Self-Reliance.

I love nature and I'm interested in sustainable agriculture. I am interested in finding more ways to live a self-reliant lifestyle and started the WWOOF Thailand Facebook page to find like minded people. Now that I've learned about farming in Thailand, I'd like to learn more about farming in Japan so I will do WWOOF in Japan from early March till the middle of May :)
