About Me

CURRENT MISSION

don't be sexy just be crazy

ABOUT ME

I live with abundant defect. If I'm a computer, I'll crack. Fortunately I'm a human-being. It's strangely hard to be proper, and I'm having trouble when I try to write some proper "All about me". All is one, one is all, some little help from my friend told me about that. So it's always a very long story, or extremely, a very short story.

Almost a poet.
Artist-to-be. (Still in art academy, enjoying student discount)
Fortune-teller as my dream-job (maybe part-time)
Philosophy is my bed-time stories.
Synthesizer player.
Noisy performer.
Not really a traveller, I simply like to move myself from places to places through places and finally reach some places in some random, absurd yet hilarious ways.

If some twisted and lo-fi weird sound is ok for you, then:

You can imagine there are many switch and knobs in your body. All lead to different function, some functions are even useless. I've learned to switch it off and on and squeeze the knob like a curios but anxious child for some moment. When I do this, I glitter from inside like a distant star. Good feeling. Harmless self-drugging.

"Idle youth, enslaved to everything; by being too sensitive I have wasted my life."

PHILOSOPHY

Delicate, slow, profound. Those are perceptions with voices that talk to me continuously. Low tech but science fictional life. Jumping as light as a montage in the never-lasting French New Wave movies.

Direct.
No lie.
No regret.
Honest and chaos.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Had hosted several people in Taiwan.
Also surfed several times.
Meeting people becomes easy and always interesting.
Randomness and chance and coincidence complete a being, whereas sharing keeps us naive, and alive.

Interests

DIY stuffs, poetry, maps, strangers, atlas in every form, literature, nature, texture, light and sound, music, growing, eating and cooking vegetables, swimming, dancing, hitch-hiking and real hiking, singing plus screaming, play and live and think really hard.

My sweet trouble is, I hardly find anything not interesting.

Music, Movies, and Books

Of course people change all the time. Even with those things that were once heavily important for you. In current years I read more philosophy and cultural theory, but some literature and films did change my life. Here I list something that had sculpted my soul.

Demanding the Impossible: A History of Anarchism by Peter Marshall

Jean Luc Godard, Jim Jarmusch, Wim Wenders, Wong Kar Wai, Andre Takovski, Chris Marker, Derek Jarman, Terry Gilliam

Michel Houellebecq, Albert Camus, J.G Ballad, Nabokov, Huxley, T.S Eliot, William Blake, Haruki Murakami, Roland Barthes, Paul Celan, Franz Kafka, Allen Ginsberg, Jack Kerouac, Milan Kundera, Charles Baudelaire, Marguerite Duras..

Indie and alternative cinema, preferably from all corner of the world.

Psychedelic, 60s', 90's, new wave, no wave, blues, jazz, progressive, techno, electronic, kraut, electroacoustic...

I'm more into electronic music now, but I was a big fan of those:
Velvet Underground, Lou Reed, Talkinghead, Mile Davis, The Doors, Pink Floyd, Spaceman 3, Joy Division, John Coltran, The Clash, Pulp, My Bloody Valentine, New Order, Underworld, Terry Riley, Sonic Youth, Primal Scream, David Bowie, Can, Iggy Pop, King Crimson, Radiohead since Kid A.....

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Take a trip.
Lose yourself.
Fall in love.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to build a synthesizer using CMOS chips and breadboard, and how to make lots of interesting stuff including techno, VJ, lasers using all open source softwares and hardwares.

If it is too hardcore, I can also share something else, like:
Drawing.
Veggie cooking.
Chinese speaking and writing.
How to talk to yourself endlessly when walking on the street.
Lay down anywhere anytime.
Cleaning the floor by dancing barefoot on it.

And I really want to learn how to make a haircut.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Austria, China, France, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, New Zealand, Portugal, Spain, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In

Germany, Taiwan
