About Me
CURRENT MISSION
to live primarily in warm climates and travel as much as possible.
ABOUT ME
I don't know what to write ... I'm new to couch surfing- I quit work in Australia 2008 to travel again and I should have done it sooner! I worked in Thailand this year on a human rights documentary film festival which was a great experience, I studied there in 2000. I plan to study again in 2010. I'd rather watch sunset than sunrise, I love the beach, spicy food and I miss my dog.
PHILOSOPHY
What goes around comes around ...
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm yet to host since I'm travelling at the moment but I've met some cool people along the way during this trip. When I get settled again I hope they'll make it for a visit & catch up.
Interests
I love swimming, diving, beaches & British humour.I like looking at art that I can't afford,I'm interested in history and politics, have started learning Spanish and would love to speak more languages.
I'm very happy to sit in a hammock/ on a beach and read all day or wander around a new city/new place and just explore on the way back. I like the outdoors but I got lost on a hike once since I'm pretty bad with directions and can't read a map to save myself!

Music, Movies, and Books
I love seeing live bands, mostly rock & indie but I listen to lots of different stuff depending on what mood I'm in & must confess that my ipod includes the Spice Girls.
I read mostly autobiographies/ personal accounts etc & travel guides, David Sedaris, Bill Bryson, Murakami & the Harry Potter series. Gone with the Wind is a favourite.
I'll watch most movie genres (except gore & horror)-I do love Bollywood movies, classics and old musicals for the pure escapsim/fun factor.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
There have been many 'amazing' things on this trip -travelling through Burma during monsoon was pretty cool, sleeping in the desert under a billion stars is up there too along with a memorable familiy stay in an ashram in India.
