About Me

CURRENT MISSION

healing family through the alchemy of food and love

ABOUT ME

I listen. I act. I reflect.

I work as a steward of shared resources, in a mode of service.

Process Nerd.
Incident Manager.
Herder of Cats.
Executive/Technical/Real World tri-lingualist.
Kitchen Mama.

I love to feed family, and have extensive experience with cooking for multiple food allergies and dietary restrictions. Also, much of my experience comes from non-standard environments, from forested camps to the heart of disaster relief areas, as well as within more normal kitchen setups.

I tend travel in the summer with my partner, a High School History and Geography teacher. We have been told that we bring a strong positive energy along with us, and we are always eager to meet new friends and family!

PHILOSOPHY

No work, just love.

Be. Here. Now.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Do you need anything?

As a mobile operation, I have helped to equip, mobilize and deploy numerous operations including forest cleanup and disaster response.

As an intentional community, our household has also offered shelter and resources to both local and visiting members of our shared tribes.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

This website just doesn't track all the great shared sleeping and/or living conditions that I've been blessed with experiencing.

I used to always shop for an apartment with an extra bedroom that I *didn't* need a roommate's income to pay for... the result? both of the best roommates that I've ever had ended up staying 'for free,' while I received, as a 'patron of the arts,' immeasurable benefit from their presence and companionship.

In the last few years, I've been both traveler and 'captain' of a mobile camp, so I have spent a great deal of time as both hostess and guest. With every leap of faith, the universe has been so kind as to provide precisely the right gift, at the perfect time. Most often, this is a blessed reminder of the abundance and endless love in which we swim.

Music, Movies, and Books

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Serendipitous moments abound and surround!

The best stories tend to come out organically.

Teach, Learn, Share

When travelling the freeways of the US, Wal*Marts are not on Gas/Food/Lodging signs, but if you see Murphy's Oil listed, there is a W*M right alongside, which allow overnight vehicle camping.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love to explore local markets, learn new recipes, and share my own skills in the kitchen.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, India, Ireland, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
