About Me

Who am I? I am a girl who loves the island, and a girl who loves the sea.... it calls me!! So I'm a dork :D I define myself though by the way I was raised. I do this for two reasons. One my family is very close and a lot of my traits are because I'm lucky enough to be raised by an involved and open village of people. They helped me cultivate the fun stuff and called me out when I was being a poohead (it happened a lot ages 14-20). Secondly, I am extremely proud of my family. I believe that are great people but most importantly every single one of them have opened their hearts and homes to whomever has needed it. They are actively trying to make the world a better place. So here is my family. I was raised by a mother who was hardworking and dedicates that work to others. My father is full of humor and it my real life Atticus Finch (character from To Kill A Mockingbird). Be warned most of my bad jokes are from him. I am my father's daughter with a heathy dash of my mom sprinkled in. I grew up along side of five very different brothers and one sister. They taught me an amazing amount of tolerance and how to make the best of any situation. Oh and my ability to laugh at myself, that inevitably came with the rest of stuff. If you want I have a lot of fun sibling stories! Aside from that I have a very child like enjoyment for life. I develop a connection whenever I can which mean I have a tendency to be very open about myself. If you have questions please ask away!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Honestly, I just like people and because of the way I was raised it makes me feel at home. I enjoy making friends whenever I can and I love the community.

Interests

I love reading, traveling, and people. You can either find me off somewhere new, reading a new book, or making a new friend. Or any combination of the three.

I love the outdoors. Since I am a huge biology fan I enjoy anything that can get me outside, in the water, up a tree, ect..

Grant and Mary were wonderful guests to meet and host...even though the weather wasn't the best it didn't stop them from getting out and exploring everything around Taupo.

As a CS host I would definately recommend this young American couple to any CS host(s)they may contact in the future :)

Grant , Mary , I wish you both continued safe and happy travels always.

Grant and Mary stayed a couple of nights with us, although unfortunately the Taranaki weather wasn't too kind to them. Still, they remained cheerful despite the wetness, and we found them a pleasure to have as guests.
