Hello good people of the Couchsurfing land!

As are many of you, I am totally in love with the concept of our little movement. I love learning about new cultures, talking to people, sharing experiences and organizing random shenanigans. And meeting people at your destination is the best way to get to know the culture, country and make friends. Couchsurfing is the best way to travel as you can share and you are never alone. Like a world wide web of open-minded people - always welcomed!

I try to live life by "being present" -- I stop to smell flowers and enjoy a moment I am in. Life took me from one continent to another, which resulted in making some long-lasting friendships all over the globe & experiencing wonderful adventures in remote places. I've also been lucky in a way that work took me some places I'd never go otherwise. I understand how lucky I am, and never forget that.

I am generally cheerful, dancing is my favorite thing in the world, as well as I love visual & performing arts. And am always open to introduce me to your favorite interest.

I do economics by day and zumba by night -- it's a good combo of nerdiness and joyfulness that fits my personality.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I moved to Brussels in 2014 after ten years of living in San Francisco (!) Now I am going back to the US, Chicago. While I was in SF I was hosting people. Brussels didn't allow me to as I was traveling too much for work. Now that I go back to the States, I hope to host again.

That said - I am always up for getting together and showing you around (if I am around)!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I met some lovely people through couchsurfing! While I did host, I never stayed with anyone. But as life took me around the lovely local people I met took me around and show me the non-touristy parts of their cities - seeing how regular life is around the planet is basically what I am interested in. So show me around your hood, please!

Interests

I love dancing and performing arts so anything around theater, dance, zumba!!!, and stand-up comedy is great.

And electronic music!

I am also very sporty so if you are into biking, swimming or yoga & pilates - I'd love if we can do it together.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I got lost in a jungle once and had to walk barefoot about 5 miles in the middle of the night. Now I am laughing about it... Otherwise, not recommended!

Update: Got lost in another jungle. It was terrible. I survived, but never going to a jungle alone again! (You think I'd learn that the first time)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you several languages. Or I can be your gym coach. I can also teach you how to organize your life to work and play ergonomically (as I had a lot of injuries, learned maybe little too much about this).

Many people asked me why I am not a personal coach, so I am ready to listen and you can pour your heart out as much as you'd like. I can listen or I might be able to give you an advice , if you seek for one that is :-)

I can also tell you a lot about the Japanese history and arts, climate and science.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I like to see how people live their daily lives. If you want me to participate in your daily workings, I will. If not, I will keep myself on a side - just let me know clearly, without hesitation of what best works for you. I

I can always share chocolates, good wine and just hanging out and talking about life and the world in general is one of my favorite things ever.
