ABOUT ME

I am a senior veterinary student (graduating this May!) from Alabama, coming out west for my final internship and potentially looking to relocate out here permanently. Trying to get to know this beautiful state...there is so much beauty in the desert to drink up :)

PHILOSOPHY

I honestly couldn't tell you right now...I'm a pretty simple person, though. I feel like I should find some wise, insightful quote to insert here. ^_^ All I can say is that, first and foremost, I try to treat others with respect and courtesy and hope that I get the same. I'm also all about enjoying the little things in life.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I can't host right now since I live in a tiny space above the clinic I'm working in, but I try to abide by the Couchsurfing ideals wherever I go. I do a lot of solo traveling and love the ability it gives me to have meaningful interactions with strangers that I would never have met otherwise!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've surfed twice and had meet-ups with various other Couch Surfers. I've not officially hosted through CouchSurfing, though I have had many a friend/acquaintance bum a night or two on my lovely pull-out couch :)

Interests

I am an absolute nut for soccer - I don't play on a team, anymore, but I love the sport - and I'm also a referee! I'm in the process of moving up the ranks and aspire to do professional games one day. Right now I officiate club, high school, and intercollegiate matches. I also love latin dance - salsa, merengue, bachata...maybe a bit of ballroom, though I'm quite rusty. Finally, I LOVE to hike, and am constantly in search of new challenges and beautiful scenery to soak up. If you have recommendations for great hikes in your area, definitely let me know! The more challenging, the better.

Music, Movies, and Books

Changes daily. I love a good murder mystery or thriller in the book department, though these days most of my reading is of veterinary texts and articles so my brain can only handle so much. For music, anything that elicits some type of emotion or response - from Journey to Garth Brooks, Yanni to Queen, or even a little big band swing. I appreciate most music!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbed a mountain in Morocco and happened across a beautiful oasis where me and my friend spent the next few hours basking in its sunlit beauty :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd love to learn something new from you, and if you want I can teach you all I know about soccer, or maybe even how to dance if that interests you! I love love love latin dance like salsa and merengue, and I have dabbled a bit in ballroom. I can also teach you random things about animal health, since I'm finishing up vet school.

I'm always looking to learn something new. I spend way too long in museums. I'm constantly looking to improve my French, and love to just sit down and discuss. When I visit a city/new place, I love to wander aimlessly around and see where I end up - you find some of the best places that way!
