CURRENT MISSION

Sobrevivir

ABOUT ME

I am Texan born and raised, but my heart lies in Latin America. I spend most of my free time planning my next adventure. I am a bilingual elementary teacher (Spanish) and a freelance photographer.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is too short to surrender to sorrow when everyone deserves to be content. Choose happiness.

Dream as if you'll live forever, live as if you'll die today.

Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing to not only experience a culture from the inside but to also share my own culture. I host Couchsurfers at my apartment in Dallas whenever I am available, and I take advantage of every opportunity to Couchsurf when I travel.

Interests

Traveling, International Relations, Bilingual Education, Immigration Reform, Architecture, Urban Planning, Photography, Rock Climbing, Music Festivals, Cycling, Linguistics, Camping, Hiking, and Billiards

And who doesn't love a good party with a lot of alcohol? LOL

Music, Movies & Books

MUSIC: I know this is cheating, but I really do love ALL music (bossa nova, indie rock, hip hop, electro house, jazz, r&b, norteño, narcocorridos, it's all fair game)

MOVIES: Inception, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Independent Films, and Documentaries

One Amazing Thing I've Done

Visiting Ushuaia, the southernmost city in the world. Hiking an active volcano in Costa Rica.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach English, Spanish, and Portuguese. I am also a photographer, so I can give you a few tips and trips on how to capture unforgettable moments. Make the most of your life while you're here. Do one thing every day that scares you. The things you do for yourself are gone when you are gone, but the things you do for others remain as your legacy.

What I Can Share With Hosts

I can share my love of travel, food, music, and culture.

Countries I've Visited

Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, United States, Uruguay

Countries I've Lived In

Argentina, Mexico, United States
